The Alliance for the Octopus in Yucatán, A.C. is a civil society organization founded in 2019 with the purpose of promoting the sustainability of regional fisheries through scientific research, intersectoral dialogue, and collaborative action with coastal communities, the business sector, and public institutions.
The Alliance for Octopus in Yucatán, A.C. is a civil society organization founded in 2019 with the purpose of promoting the sustainability of regional fisheries through scientific research, intersectoral dialogue, and collaborative action with coastal communities, the business sector, and public institutions.
Since its creation, it has coordinated the Yucatan Octopus Fishery Improvement Project (FIP:10470 – Mexico Yucatan Octopus – Drift Rod and Line) in the Campeche Bank region, coordinating efforts among key stakeholders to improve the environmental, economic, and social performance of the fishery.
